Short Hiatus
I’m taking a little hiatus from this project to play Skyrim and work on a couple of other things. Work should resume sometime next month, for a hopefully early 2012 release.
For those checking in, don’t worry, the project is still alive. Work is resuming, and I’ll see if I can throw some new updates up in the near future. It seems strangely cold for summer… I might need to put on some fur clothing…

Lately I’ve been playing Fallout New Vegas, and all my Serpent Isle modding has been dark caves and basements. Today I started creating my first outdoor location in a while, and when I went to test it in-game I was just blown away by the sheer prettiness of the Oblivion engine. It’s so bright and… pretty. Anyway, since it has been a while, here’s a screeny:
(I’m going to try to cut back on the number of screenshots I put out so people don’t see the entire world before it is done)
I’ve finally uploaded more Moonshade screenshots (they can be seen in the previous news entry or in the media section). Most areas are still missing certain details, but I tried to get some screens that show mostly complete areas.
I’ve also uploaded a new video to my youtube channel showing one of the secret areas of Serpent Isle.
As you may be able to tell from the screenshots, I am currently working on the city of Moonshade. Each new city I do seems to get built faster, due to my increasing modelling skills. In Monitor, it would take me a day to model something simple. In Fawn, I spent several days creating interior models for the palace. Now in Moonshade… Need a spiked metal fence? Done in 5 minutes. Now I just need to improve my texturing/UVMapping skills. Petra still took me a day…
